South Africa is experiencing a big increase in Bank related phishing and spoofed emails, South Africa Banking is under attack, especially during tax season. The South African Government and the Banking sector has to act unilaterally and decisively to deal with the industry’s crippling Bank related fraud and scams thereby protecting its customers and clients. South Africans are feeling the pinch with a substantial cycle of high inflation with no wage increases, very high unemployment rates, no social security causing desperate people to take chances that look improbable coupled with high emotional distress. This makes South Africans vulnerable to scams which are being carried out by highly skilled fraud syndicates who are up to date with all the latest security advice and bulletins.
