The virus is not COVID but egoism,

Covid is Mother Earth’s way to control this virus,

Church halls and buildings stand empty while the flock freezes in the mountain,

Community halls and pubic assets stand empty while soup kitchens are blocked from using our assets to serve the people.

Soup kitchens are funded by the people not government,

Food parcels for the hungry disappear,

Politicians tell us to wear masks but cannot even put them on,

They tell us if you are over 60 stay at home but they don’t even follow the protocols they impose on us,

They offer us R350…

They send teachers and volunteers to the front line but retreat to castles and bodyguards,

Their wages and perks are guaranteed by our money,

They feed on us like hyenas,

Where is Julius, Kakob, David, Ace, the Lions of the Poor?

They send us to public hospitals but retreat to private,

They pass protocols to favour their baccas,

We are the virus and egoism is the disease.
