Gone are the queues of smiling beautiful children with mixed mash clothing and the bent-over elderly all clutching their food bowls. The laneway is empty…all of a sudden two women hit out between the shacks carrying bags of food like the Hunger Games. Its dark and the overhead spotlights create shapes in the shadows. By some sort of magic, all the food bowls that were clutched in the queues are now been filled with hot dinner and carried in bags by strong fit women runners called Uber Feets, to be dropped at all the houses. At no point did I see the queue pass over the food bowls to the Marshalls yet here these women hitting out again and again.
