This scam email is masked as a message regarding a Packing List & Invoice, the Packing List & Invoice is supposedly in the email attachment. However, the malicious file appears as attachments or downloadable links which infect the recipients’ devices with malware. Moreover, these files can be archives (ZIP, RAR, etc.), executables files (.exe, .run, etc.), Microsoft Office and PDF documents, JavaScript or HTML files.
When the infected file is executed, run or opened, the infection chain malware download/installation is triggered.
Most prevalent is Microsoft Office documents infecting devices by executing malicious macro commands.
