Roundcube is a web-based IMAP email client. Roundcube’s most prominent feature is the pervasive use of Ajax technology. Roundcube is free and open-source software subject to the terms of the GNU General Public License, with exceptions for skins and plugins.
This phishing email was easy to spot as the spoofed email is neither cPanel nor Roundcube email. I have never received any email correspondence from cPanel or Roundcube even though I host and manage many website hosting packages, hosting providers use the Roundcube software for their webmail service.
The scammers are taking advantage of the fact that users are not aware that Roundcube is a free software email hosting provider installed on their servers, Roundcube is not a service like Gmail or Hotmail.

This scam is spray mail as cPanel powers more than 1/3 of the websites on the internet, cPanel users are therefore easy targets. There are no end-user accounts with Roundcube, therefore Roundcube do not send out email messages about suspensions, email passwords or in this case Upgrades and maintenance. Do not follow any of those requests!

Below are the same two emails, the left is HTML as you would normally receive your email via your client however the email on the right is the same email converted to plain text, I receive all my emails as plain text, stripping out the masking HTML button, Continue Account Maintenance, to reveal the phishing URL.

The first red flag is the Non-Roundcube email, Roundcube is not an email and service and no you do not have an account. Use of logos in trust factor as well as time-based threats to force you into a fear-based response.
