The good old Manuel Franco $768 million Powerball jackpot lottery email scam is back. This lottery scam follows all the typical lottery scams where the jackpot winner randomly gives away winnings to random email address, to “you”.
To create authenticity, the scammers provide the legitimate YouTube lottery interview video URL, https://youtu.be/R_pDrt1np1U, of Mauel Francos lottery post-win interview.
Do not reply the scammers will ask for personal information or phish for money.
The red flags are the email address, Adam Dellaventura <AdamDellaventuraATbristolct.gov> and not Manuel Franco, moreover the receivers address To: is empty field.
The To: should be your email address, indicating a spray email campaign.
The email is signed Best Regards, Manuel, which does not match the sender’s email address,
Adam Dellaventura.
Note subject line RE can be an indicator of multiple forwarded emails.
If in Doubt Delete.
If it is too good to be true it is.

Wisconsin resident Manuel Franco won the $768 million Powerball jackpot in April 2019. Manuel Franco was employed at Target and after winning he appeared in the famous lottery YouTube interview that scammers have taken advantage of and misused to con thousands of guidable and desperate people.
Prior to winning the lottery, Manuel Franco was working at a Target store and after winning, he was known to hand out gifts to random people, however scammers were quick to take advantage of this good news story, his good will and reputation to scam poor unsuspecting victims.
